About C & M Refrigeration & Air Conditioning, Corp

Before choosing your contractor, we would like to offer you these few suggestions:

• Get written estimates, and listen to what the sales people are telling you.
• Ask "How many years have you been in business?"
• Get references for people with a similar job, and make sure that you check them!
• Ask about your warranty and what it actually covers. Do not get "surprised."
• Take notes and at the end of the sales presentation, ask questions.
• After completion of the job, ask for an explanation of the operation, for all of the equipment and make sure you find out about regular maintenance.

Established in 1985, C & M Refrigeration & Air Conditioning, Corp is a quality owner operated business, serving Union, Middlesex, Somerset and Morris County areas. Gary Cantagallo and Richard Worst are involved with every aspect, from start to finish. We are members of National Comfort Institute and National Association of Technician Excellence.

Choosing a Contractor

Many things go into a quality job that is why you need to educate yourself on the job you are purchasing.

Name brand parts and supplies are important, but these pieces are only as good as the people who assemble them at your job site, and the care you get after the job is completed.

Seasonal Tips

• Carefully vacuum around the thermostat. (Now is a good time to
check the program on digital ones)
• Set the thermostat above room temperature by at least 10
  Degrees.
• Turn power to the furnace on.
• Listen for the furnace to come on, and check to see that it is
  getting warm.
• Set the thermostat to a lower setting than the room
temperature, and make sure that after a few minutes that the
  unit goes off.

This is also a good time of the year to replace the batteries in your smoke detectors, and to make sure that they are working. Also, if you do not already own a Carbon Monoxide detector, get one!

Have a comfortable winter.

Winter Tips

To get ready for the winter season, here are some things that you should be doing before the heating season:

• Turn power to the furnace off.
• Make sure that the area around your heater is clear from any
  household items.
• Clean or replace the air filter and vacuum the blower
  compartment.
• Check that the pilot light is lit. (Most newer units do not have
  one)
• Oil the motor and check the belt. (Most newer units do not have
  one)
• Set your humidifier to "on" or the "winter" setting.
• The humidistat should be set at 30 or 35 percent.
